Where Fun Meets Development

Junior Tennis at Ballinlough
At Ballinlough Tennis Club, we are passionate about nurturing young tennis players and instilling a love for the sport in every child. Our junior programs offer a fun, supportive and engaging environment where children of all ages and skill levels can develop their tennis abilities, build confidence and make lasting friendships.
Whether your child is just starting out or already has experience, our programs are designed to help them grow both as athletes and individuals. Our coaching team is dedicated to providing a positive atmosphere where juniors can thrive, enjoy the game and gain valuable life skills.
Junior Program
We offer a wide range of programs to suit children at various stages of their tennis journey. Our aim is to create an environment that encourages both development and fun. Below is an overview of the current programs available for our junior members:
- Group Coaching: For primary and secondary school children, these sessions focus on building the foundations of tennis through fun activities and teamwork. Group coaching helps players develop their skills in a social, supportive environment.
- Matchplay & Tournament Hitting: Designed for players who are interested in competitive play, this program focuses on improving matchplay skills and preparing for internal and external tournaments. It's ideal for juniors looking to take their game to the next level.
- Squad Coaching: For our more advanced junior players, squad coaching focuses on refining specific skills, improving technique and preparing for higher-level competitions. These sessions challenge players to push their limits and achieve their full potential.
- BTC Junior Closed & Junior Open Tournament: We hold two major events each year, the BTC Junior Closed and the Junior Open Tournament. These competitions offer juniors the opportunity to showcase their skills and compete in a fun, supportive atmosphere.
- Easter & Summer Camps: We run Easter and Summer camps to give junior members the chance to further develop their skills during school breaks. These camps are a great way to enhance tennis abilities while having fun with fellow players.
- Additional Events & Tournaments: In addition to regular coaching, we also offer various social events and tournaments, including 4-square tournaments and age-group-specific competitions such as u8 Red Ball, u9 Orange Ball and u10 Green Ball tournaments.
